EMT
intermediate training includes skills such as ECG
interpretation, advanced or alternative airway management (i.e.
endotracheal intubation, dual-lumen airway device), intravenous
fluid therapy and administration of certain intravenous
indications.
EMT
Intermediate training is shorter and more focus than that at the
EMT-Paramedic level. These technicians can use defibrillators to
help shock a heart back into normal sinus rhythm. they can
insert catheters to give a patient intra venous fluid. they can
also perform CPR and assess victims for any trauma to the body. |
